Dr. Simon Choi

Dr. Simon Choi is a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist specializing in comprehensive neuropsychological assessment. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University, an APA-accredited program, and completed his postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology following an APA-accredited internship at Mount Sinai Services, Elmhurst Hospital. Dr. Choi received his B.A. from Northwestern University and has trained extensively at leading institutions including Columbia University, NYU, NYC Health + Hospitals, and Mount Sinai.

Dr. Choi is an expert in evaluating a broad range of conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning differences (e.g., dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia), and psychiatric disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia-spectrum disorders). His research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, and he has been a Federal Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Grant Recipient through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). He has also served as a reviewer for Transcultural Psychiatry and as a Guest Editor for the MDPI journal Religions (Special Issue).

Dr. Choi is an Adjunct Faculty Member at Teachers College, Columbia University, where he supervises clinical psychology doctoral students in psychological assessments. In addition to assessments, he provides integrative, relational psychodynamic therapy, incorporating elements of CBT, DBT, and ACT. He values spirituality as an essential dimension of psychological well-being and integrates it into his clinical approach when appropriate.

Dr. Choi is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association (APA), the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the New York City Cognitive Behavior Therapy Association, and the New York State Psychological Association.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Choi enjoys spending time with his family and corgi, exercising, meditating, and watching films.
